    Foil Stamping Process

    Instead of using CMYK or Spot color, this process uses thin foil plate molds to add color.
    At Red Printing, we apply foil after it has been printed.
    A copper die (foil mold) in the shape of your design is mounted to a heat press.
    When heated die presses foil onto the paper, the heat melts the adhesive,
    causing the foil to bond perfectly to the paper surface in the shape of the design.

    Notes

    [Pricing varies depending on the foil area size]
    If you are only applying foil (no printing), please select either “No Printing” or “Single-Sided Printing”.
    - 3 Area Sizes to choose from: Up to 80x50mm / Up to 80x100mm / Over 80x100mm (Input actual foil area size)
    (Please select the entire foil layer in your design file and check the size before uploading)

    [Foil areas - Avoid close intervals]
    - Hot stamping is done through pressing heated metal sheets against paper,
    hence, result might be slightly different for each sheet.
    - Too little spacing between each letter could cause foil to clump or smudge.

    [Small Text or Thin Lines]
    May appear blurred or result in foil peeling off easily.

    [2 Options: Embossing or Debossing]
    Submit PDF - Page1 (Front) / Page 2 (Back)
    - Embossing : Raised surface effect (+)
    - Debossing : Indented surface effect (-)

    [Guidelines]
    - The embossing (raised) will appear on the side where the embossing layer is first
    placed (either front or back).
    - Slight misalignment may occur if embossing is raised right on a border or line during
    production (due to shift).
    - If embossing over printed areas, the design may not be clearly visible (above
    example)
    *NOTE: Avoid small font text, overlapping thin lines or small patterns.

    [Precautions]
    - Ensure to separate the Print layer with the Foil Layer before saving as PDF.
    - Slight misalignments may occur if foil are stamped on borders, lines, or shapes.
    - Position of foil on design may shift by 1mm or so during production.
    - Large areas with hot stamping foil: take note that scratches may be more visible.
    - Black foil may appear uneven on textured papers such as Kraft paper.
    - Submit files as vector-based PDFs created in AI (Illustrator) or INDD (InDesign) would be preferred.

    [Precautions]
    - Ensure to separate the Print layer with the Emboss Layer before saving as PDF.
    - Thin lines, fine patterns, or small texts may not be expressed well during production.
    - File created in Photoshop (non-vector) may result in rough and unclear embossing finishes.​
    Submit files as vector-based PDFs created in AI (Illustrator) or INDD (InDesign) would be preferred.

    A 1-2mm print/cut shift may occur during production. This is inevitable.
    Colors in file shown on monitor screen may differ from actual print output.

    Goods exchange and return is applicable when:
    - Complete refund or reproduction is applicable only if the final output is 100% different from the ordered item.
    - When the product is unusable, refund and reproduction is applicable.
    ( Step 1 – photos verification, 2 step – product inspection. Please note that at least 80% of the returned product should be in good condition for us to bare the shipping fee of returned goods).

    Goods exchange and refund is not applicable when
    - Cancellation and refund is not applicable if printing files received without any problem and printing process completed smoothly.
    - Mistake and typo related problems caused by users’ carelessness or misunderstanding of instructions and terms and conditions listed in both user and product guides.

    Delivery Details

    · Orders will be produced and shipped after payment is completed.
    · Delivery Timeline (est): 1-3 business days (excluding weekends & public holidays).
    · For Express delivery, please select either QUICK [By Customer] or DVER Quick [Prepaid - In-House].
    · QUICK is only available within Seoul and Gyeonggi-do.
    · Multiple orders of the same shipping address can be bundled before orders are shipped out.
    · Self-Pick Up & QUICK: SMS notifications will be separated with large-format items & other product categories.
    · Foamboard/Foamex cannot be shipped to Jeju-do, rural islands or mountainous areas.
